Job Details

  • collecting of information, analyzing of (control) issues, locating of complex failures
    and failure causes
  • assessing the nature and size of problems in consultation with other maintenance
    departments, establishing whether repairs can be performed by own staff or third
    parties
  • having third parties implement changes/improvements/repairs in consultation
    with maintenance
  • modifying software in various programming languages or having this done
  • submitting of proposals aimed at improving existing control systems and/or the
    expansion of process management systems
  • having the relevant hardware fixed or repaired
  • reprograming of existing softwares for lines performance improvement

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in programming PLCs and microprocessor-based
    control equipment
  • Fully authorised and knowledgeable on electrical equipment and systems
    through qualifications and experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical systems through qualifications and/or
    experience
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Able to demonstrate good working knowledge of SCADA systems, PC
    programmes and networks
  • Able to demonstrate basic skills in high-level language programming
  • Good knowledge of process and packaging technology
  • Results and deadlines orientated person
  • Ability to support Performance improvement Projects
  • Strong analytical skills
